Black Core means a black central layer
Black Core paper has two printable faces separated by a black central layer, called the core. This structure is intended to reduce show-through between the front and back: a useful consideration for TCG proxies and playing cards. Colour reproduction and feeding also depend on the finish, inks and settings. The presence of a core alone does not measure the sheet’s opacity or guarantee the feel of an official card.
